.:: TOURNAMENT INTRODUCTION ::.
Battle for the Banner is The Avalanche Guild’s annual shootout tournament at Pepsi Center, held in appreciation of our After-Hours team captains. Every team captain that successfully hosts a game over the course of the season gets a FREE team entry in the tournament.
New teams and fans can register a team for the tournament by selling 30 discounted tickets through the flyer above. Please contact us at info@thehockeyguild.com if you would like to register your shootout team so that we can track your orders and let you know when the 30 tickets have been reached.
Teams are comprised of five (5) skaters and one (1) goalie and then compete in a double-elimination, bracket-style tournament. There are two different brackets and the winner of each bracket advances to the Final Shootout, which takes place during intermission of the Avalanche vs. Ducks game on March 31st in front of thousands of fans!
That’s right, instead of the mini-mites taking to the ice during intermission, the big boys hit the ice like a vicious war party searching for glory. The teams duke it out in front of all those Avalanche fans on the biggest ice battlefield in Colorado, making the entire experience one that will create memories that easily last forever. The winning team is adorned with a massive banner that is theirs to keep until next year’s winner tries to take it away from you!
